I Want to be a Badger…

Over the years, people have asked what kind of animal would you want to be if you could be any animal. I have decided that I want to be a badger! They aren’t particularly cute, they aren’t well-loved, but…badgers are strong and will face any foe head-on, no matter how formidable. They are survivors! I have seen a badger run over by a half-ton pick up truck, and she just keeps going! Badgers can dig through almost any surface and make a nice cozy burrow for themselves. Sometimes in the most unlikely of places.

In life, while challenged with illness, financial hardship, the many uncertainties of times and politics, friendships, and all the other daily happenings, it is sometimes hard to be strong. To stand bravely and face what the world is throwing at us. So maybe we need to be like the badger…look life in the eye and say, “I got this!” Yes…I think I want to be a badger.
